NVIDIA Vulkan Beta driver 525.47.34 out now

By - | Views: 11,834

NVIDIA have released another update to their Vulkan Beta driver series with 525.47.34 out now. So here's what's new and fixed.

Quite a small one this time just hooking up two new extensions, and a performance improvement:

This is their special developer-focused driver series. For those who need all the very latest Vulkan work. For gaming and normal users, you practically always want to just stick with their mainline drivers. Although, at times, these Vulkan Beta drivers do get extensions needed first for newer Proton / DXVK / VKD3D-Proton features. The latest mainline driver is 535.86.05 from July 18th.

Is there anything in particular you're waiting on to be implemented in NVIDIA's drivers?

Quite important extensions though. DGC is probably going to be how jobs are launched in the future. And HIC is a major load time and peak memory optimization especially on UMA architectures (which unfortunately desktop Nvidia isnt't).

I love being here on this website. Otherwise all these updates from Nvidia would look like Chinese announcements to me xD

Still waiting for GAMMA_LUT that they said was done in December and undergoing internal testing, fixing implicit sync and the rest of wayland modules for it to function properly...wtf is taking nvidia so long? There was a period of active development last year, but there hasn't been nothing since.
